Westminster Day
Camp

Westminster's Day Camp is a special camp for children from
kindergarten through the 4th grade, taking place in
June following the end of school year. Day Camp
is sponsored and run by Westminster Presbyterian Church, and continues
the tradition of a day camp teaching Christian values to young children.
The weeklong program's Director is Meghan Gage of
Westminster. The Director is assisted by other Westminster staff members
and volunteers, and an experienced counseling staff.

Day
Camp has been an extremely popular summer program for children, many of
whom are the sons and daughters of Westminster members. It is wise to
sign-up early since this program typically becomes filled
quickly, but extra spots are filled on a space-available basis, and
there is a waiting list for cancellations.
Each weekday morning at
8:30am the camp bus picks up day campers at Westminster and drives
them up to the Camping
facility for a day of fun-filled activities. The bus drops
the campers off each afternoon at 4:30pm where parents pick them up and
take them home for the evening.
Lots of Fun Things to Do
and See!
Activities include cooking, swimming, nature hikes, crafts, games,
camp activities, and a Biblically based story time. Lunch in the mess
hall, with a hot meal and Ajawah songs and spirit, is provided daily. A
light snack will be offered before the children return home on the bus.
Day Camp concludes Saturday evening with a closing campfire and
ceremony, to which parents are invited. Parents return home with
their child/children following the ceremony.
