Donate To Ajawah
Since 1922, Camp Ajawah has provided an unforgettable experience for hundreds of campers during its 8-week summer program. Children from Minnesota and around the world spend time creating everlasting friendships, developing leadership skills, and connecting to a special place and community.
More than half of all Ajawah campers rely on the Campership Fund to attend the life-changing experience that Ajawah provides. It is through the support of generous donors, alumni and friends that the Ajawah tradition continues. Your donation today supports Camp Ajawah camperships.

Alumni Testimonial

What makes Ajawah special / unforgettable? Camp Ajawah is singular. There is nothing like it. Ajawah has been in my life at the most formative times and helped me become comfortable with the me, the true me. It is an absolute honor to be able to see young campers grow into such great young adult leaders. They are empowered to teach, grow, make mistakes, and pave their own way. This place means everything to so many.

Most rewarding experience as a camp counselor? Watching the kids grow, not just through the years but through each session. Seeing then reach out and making new friends.
What makes Camp Ajawah special or unforgettable? My favorite parts of camp have been the physical place and the people. I loved being surrounded by nature, and I think it was really special for me to be so far away from home, but still feel so safe and loved. Camp, in a quiet way, taught me the most about personhood. I felt like the secluded environment, and close interpersonal relationships taught me so much about how to really find myself as a person, and be confident about who I am. I felt championed for being myself fully and earnestly. People are easily compassionate and forgiving, and in turn it made me so as well. It gave me, at every milestone in my life, a space to reflect on the kind of friend I am, the kind of mentor I am, and the kind of person I am. Almost every major milestone in my life has been marked with coming back from camp in the summer. Camp Ajawah fundamentally shaped me and the way that I view the world. It formed me into somebody who values compassion, authenticity, hard work, and laughter, and seeks out others who do the same.
